Social audio platform Walkie Talkie raises $3.25M to expand global reach
Walkie-Talkie announces a $3.2 million raise led by Heroic Ventures alongside Breega, TI Platform Management Ventures, @LDVP, Partech, Diaspora and Kima Ventures. The raise will allow the startup to expand their global reach and develop a new set of features.
Walkie-Talkie is an #audio app that connects users around the world allowing them to jump into conversations, take part in smaller private discussion groups, or carry out secure one-to-one audio communications.
The app uses Dolby Laboratories.io technology, incorporating active noise suppression for crowded environments, spatial audio that separates overlapping voices, and optimized device capture for clearer sound.Made viral through TikTok, it was downloaded a huge 20 million times last year and their growth shows no sign of slowing down.
